How Firearm Purchases Work

Firearms purchased online cannot be shipped directly to a customer’s home. They must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) for transfer unless a lawful exception applies.

1. Choose your firearm

Select the firearm you wish to purchase and add it to your cart. Availability and eligibility are subject to federal, state, and local law.

2. Select a receiving FFL

During checkout, search by ZIP code and select the licensed dealer that will receive your firearm. Contact the dealer before ordering to confirm that they accept transfers and to ask about their transfer fee.

3. Use the correct purchaser name

The first and last name on the order must match the billing name and the person who will complete the transfer. The receiving dealer cannot transfer the firearm to a different purchaser simply because that person placed or paid for the order.

4. Provide the dealer’s license if requested

If we do not already have the selected dealer’s license on file, ask the dealer to send a signed copy to sales@skogensoutdoors.com. We may hold the order until the required license information is received and verified.

5. Complete the transfer

After the firearm arrives, the receiving dealer will contact you. You must complete all required identification, paperwork, background-check, waiting-period, and transfer-fee requirements before taking possession.

Local pickup

If local pickup is available for your order, select that option at checkout and follow the instructions provided by Skogen’s Outdoors.

Important: Orders may be delayed or canceled when legal, eligibility, payment, licensing, shipping, or dealer requirements cannot be satisfied. Firearm laws vary by location and change over time.
